Breaking the Seal

I managed to avoid getting COVID for almost 3 years but have just tested positive. So far the symptoms have been mild: just a low grade fever for a few days, and a slight sore throat and cough. I am following CDC guidance and isolating. The hard part is isolating from my cat! I am sleeping on the floor of my music studio so she gets the bed to herself. I have cancelled all my holiday plans and am trying not to let the prospect of Christmas alone make me sad. I am so grateful for grocery store delivery, streaming media, and bivalent vaccines.
